The Ethiopian Medical Association (EMA) conducted its standing committees review meeting. The meeting was opened by Dr. Tegbar Yigzaw, President of EMA, who welcomed the standing committee members and made a speech on key parts that has to be done as a standing committee in order to fill the gap of health care quality.
The review meeting provides an opportunity for the standing committees’ members to share their experiences and introduce each other.
During the meeting standing committees representatives presented what they have been doing, challenges and lesson learned.
Some steps were highlighted that could enhance & improve the standing committees tasks.
The Ethiopian Medical Association (EMA) has six standing committees; that are called Medical Education, Continuing Professional Development, Ethics, Research, Members affairs and Medical Care.
